Last Stop

We made a stop at Zions on the last part of our trip. It was a little colder than we would have liked, but it was beautiful. (If you look close in this picture you can see a deer)

Braden is not in any of these pictures because he missed the last day of our trip. (We put him on a shuttle home so that he could make his last b-ball game.)

Good Times!

Just adding the rest of the pics from our trip. Braden really wanted to play racquetball. Cam and I had never played before.



I am either playing racquetball or doing the electric slide! Brady was nice and took it easy on us!

Had to add this picture because of the cuteness factor! We also enjoyed the hotels hot tub and a huge indoor pool (lazy river and all) at a nearby community center.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Larry

It has been hard to live so far from so many we love! Jim's dad is celebrating his b-day this week and we want him to know that our thoughts are with him and that we miss him.
We have made a few trips to California over the years to visit. We always enjoy when we can see Grandpa!
Grandpa Larry has a great sense of humor and has always been great with the kids.
You can see where Jim gets his good looks!

Slot

These are just more pictures from our trip to St. George this past week. We enjoyed the family time. I have a few more from different things we did . Because of time I 'll have to get those on later.Our friend Jill introduced us to the slot up on the Dixie. This is always a highlight for the kids. For me- Just a measure of if I gained weight that year! (smile)
I did not think Jim would be able to fit but he made it. There was only one spot he struggled and had to shimmy a bit, but he made it. (This was his first year of doing this with us because I usually take the kids while he is in his conference!)
My kids are getting big. We Keep telling them to stop growing! See the small slot behind us!

Dixie Land

Our family went to St. George last week . It is tradition that we climb around on the Dixie rocks. (not sure if that is what they are called.) The views are wonderful!





The kids were sitting on this rock chatting (waiting for Jim and I to figure out the self timer on the camera-which we never did.) We took this by accident but it turned out to be one of my favorites.

What does this mean?

Katie received this Winnie the pooh stuffed animal for Christmas from her Grandma Judy a few years ago and she has slept with it ever since. As every mom knows-stuffed animals get kinda grimy after a while. I told Katie to throw Winnie down at the end of the stairs and I will put him in with the laundry. A few hours later when the kids were at school I walked down to get something and this is what I saw! What does this mean? Is she telling Pooh to get comfortable, it may be a while?!?!?!

Basketball details!

This is for you dad!

Brady was one of the team captains. This is the huddle before the game. (They are smiling at the other Ref. who was late and hurrying down the stairs.)

Brady stole the ball and made a quick lay up. (Can you tell by the big flat screen on the back wall that this is not a public school!)

I wish I knew what the coach was saying here! I'm sure it was something like "Brady you are awesome-get out there and slam dunk that ball again!"

They had a great season. I think that Brady told me they were 13 wins and 8 losses. The losses where close games. The team did great this year working together!

Now he is just waiting for the snow to melt!!

Basketball Anyone!

Braden will be going through basketball withdrawals soon! His Freshman HS season ends on Friday. It has been fun watching him play. He loves all aspects of sports, the competition, the strategy, the physical, the social, etc. Some games have been a little too close for comfort. There have been a few times that it has taken me a while after the game just to relax. If you are reading my blog you know me and know that I am not the type to yell. Instead I sit there and tense up. One game in particular I felt like I had just worked out, my muscles were so sore. (Wouldn't that be great if you could burn as much calories watching as you do playing!)
It has been a fun (but busy) season!
